I found a few of these a few months ago in Maine
representation that almost reads like pure abstraction--lots of good things rolled into one
with the coronation scene depicted I believe likely 15th-16th century
which makes all of those flowers feel very voluptuous

Eleanor Clarice Hayes' Short and Sweet Grade IV Sewing Samples Booklet plastic I found a few ofI love an old sewing lessons booklet like penmanship practice notebooks, each is its own thing depending on who made it and when, with lessons taught, materials used, etc varying over time. This is an especially brief one, just four samples completed by our young Eleanor, but I find them especially lovely in a very minimal, and also tenderly humble way, and especially for their handwritten captions, which feel almost like found poetry.
